I made the mistake of adding a foxface to a 30 gal tank. It was fine for the last 6 months
Then I compounded the issue putting a black spot in as well. Now both are 6" long.
Thankfully I found a taker.
Neither are big algae eaters except for nori and the black spot is just a pig of an eater.

I'll replace both with a Coral Beauty and hope it leave corals alone. Or is that a bad choice too?

I would say generally yes thats a bad choice if you want a coral safe fish. If you are ok with rolling the dice and having a "possibly coral safe fish" then give it a try. Might work out fine or you might be providing expensive fish food.

I have a nice acan so hopefully it wont pick it
Angels in the wild will eat sponges, it’s possible in captivity they confuse fleshy LPS for sponges that usually would grow around the coral bases.

I wouldn’t go for a CB as they’re also extremely active and a 30g wouldn’t suffice for a fully grown one.
Look into the multicolour Angel (Centropyge multicolor). These are smaller so they’re a slightly better suited Angel for a 30g tank. However their reef safe “level” is only a bit better than the CBA.
