I have 2 scarlet reef hermit crabs and they move sometimes but will sit in the same spot for hours and like kinda hang out of their shell but what i don’t understand is they are the only 2 that do this my other hermit crabs are fine. The 2 videos posted one is a scarlet and the other is a red leg cortez a dwarf zebra and u kinda see the halloween hermit. Any ideas my scarlets the only ones that do this?

Having these at one time- Lazy they are although they wont waste time working on a piece of uneaten food

So they are fine its just theyre really lazy cause I remember when i first put them in the tank id see them pinch the rocks and grab algae but now they are both just very lazy

Assure temp-salinity and Ph has not become elevated or calcium lowered which would make them less active.
Mine moved around but for their size I expected them to be wind up toys

Temp is 76 salinity is 1.025 and i just did a water change today so i would think calcium and ph arent a issue

If they are molting they will seem lazy and not move for a couple days. Then they go back to normal.

You think theyre just very very lazy?
I know they're lazy. Whenever I spot one they're hardly moving around. Unlike the blue leg and my other misc. hermit crab collection (the algae eaters are literally climbing the glass and wires at night).
