I need help asap. The external flesh is receding. I've looked at other forum post. Since then I've moved it under a overhang for the softer light. Should I dip it or feed it. We really need to save this piece its a high dollar unit. Here's a pic.

Dip it in CoralRX put under a rock for very low light. I wouldn't feed until its puffed up again.

They sell "one shots" put one shot per gallon of tank water. Put coral for 10 minutes.

Thanks man. I will go get some tomorrow. I run AI sol leds and I raised the intensity and lowered the units 1" to 11" off of the water. Do you think that is what did this.

I would think that could cause it. But there may be something else going on. Have you dosed anything or changed anything else?

I recently went to frag swap and got a few pieces. One was a entire rock mini carpet anemone. I might have got some critters from that dude. Can an entire tank be treated. If so what would be the procedure.

It depends what you are treating for. If you are able to see something then it may be possible to get an ID and go from there.

I use bayer advanced home complete for dips ime its much less stressfull than coralrx and if you've got pests it will kill them all from red bugs to aefw. But wouldn't dip that coral in anything unless u know its got something. IMO I would put it in a low light area and once or twice a week put it in a bowl of tank water and put food in for it to safely and slowly feed for like 30mins or so.

What is this dip? I think I'll try it. I haven't noticed CoralRX to be stressful at all so I would like to try this.

You wouldn't believe the critters that fell out of some coral after using CORALRX. It was eye opening. I'm in the process of waiting a few days before I redip.
