Anyone have this happen before? I don’t think there’s much to do, other than keep parameters stable, feed it, and wait, but man it’s a bummer.

I found a nassarius sticking out of my Scoly a little while ago. I would’ve just left it to spit it back out, but the point of its shell had poked a hole through the side of the mouth, so I pulled it out. The damage isn’t terrible, but it lost a decent chunk of flesh.

Anyone see this before? Did it heal up okay?

Not too much to see, but you can kind of tell that the mouth isn’t properly closed, and the tear is to the left of the mouth.

Greeeeeat. Just to make things worse, a few of my fish are picking at the damaged Scoly. Thankfully, I have a mushroom box I can put him in. Hopefully he does well in there for a few weeks.

Yeesh.
