For back glass just superglue it low on the glass . It tends to grow up and towards light .

Never let your rocks touch the glass
1 it scratches the glass
2 it pushes on the glass
3 you can’t clean the glass
4 stuff transfers ( like GSP, Aiptasia , corals ) from glass to rock

I guess I shouldn't have said touch... It's close enough that GSP will grow on it. Also, we don't clean the back glass. :)

I have learned to manage GSP and other aggressive soft corals like Kenyas and Xenia. It's really not hard. I understand why many ppl do not want these in their tanks but I like them :)

1) Run charcoal (I do this anytime I mess with coral in my DT)
2) Physically pull the unwanted coral off. Scrape or use pliers as needed.
3) Use a very hard bristle coarse plastic brush to remove the remaining bits. Much harder than a toothbrush. Buy one at the hardware store.

Kenya and Xenia will pull clean with the right technique but GSP will usually require scrubbing with the plastic brush. I've never had soft corals spread due to releasing frags in the water and it has never come back if I scrub it all off. Increase flow, filtration, run carbon. Enjoy your softies! Think of it like maintaining your lawn :)

I’m scrubbing mine in tank, hitting it with Aiptasia-X, pulling off with tweezers. I have so much and it’s killing other corals. I run carbon and a filter sock when I do it. Interestingly, the only coral in my tank that kills GSP is my green frilly mushroom.
