I was able to capture my Sea Apple feeding. I'm hopeful I can keep it alive but time will tell. I have a phyto blend on a doser dosing once an hour 24/7 but I've only had it a 2 weeks.

I sped the video up 2x

The tank thread is below for anyone interested.

Awesome video! Subscribed to your channel. Sea apples are so cool but I’ve never had the guts to try to take care of one.

I wouldn't try one normally but in a tank this small that I can focus on filter feeders maybe I'll be able to keep it for a while. The only fish is a high fin goby so there's no one to pick on it to cause it go nuclear.
As to YouTube I appreciate it but I use it pretty much as a place that allows me to post videos here and to share with family so hopefully your not expecting any meaningful content lol.

Cool Video, and Sea Apple. Have you tried hatching Baby Brine. If nothing else your gony will love them.

Really cool vid, looks amazing . I did used to see so much more activity on my filter feeders wend I used to to dose hourly vs one time a day.

Actually I have been hatching them and a few days ago I added them to the phyto that is on a doser and I'm seeing a positive response from the gorgonians.

Wow! I had 2 in my previous 90 gallon reeftank. I hope you’re planning on moving your sea apple to a bigger tank in the future.

TBH when i was reading about them i never thought to research max size. The difficulties keeping them was mostly what kept popping up. If I'm lucky enough to keep it that long I do have larger tanks running it can be moved to.

Not to discourage you but yours looks like juvenile. The reason I say I hope your sea apple will go to a bigger tank is it going to grow and may double in size.

He already addressed that above.

Just wanted to post a FTS reference. 8g is small but it's not as cramped as it looks in the video.
How long did you have your Sea Apples?

Size of system is only relevant when considering a mobile organism. Also when considering the impact/potential for parameter changes.

For a benthic/sessile organism, which a sea apple can be considered. The size of system should not be a concern unless stable conditions are affected.

Thank you for that explanation.

In a small tank you need to watch your parameters like a hawk, especially having very sensitive corals, fish, and invertebrates. I had one for three years and the other one for two years.

Here one of my sea apples from 2018 before I took this tank down.

Here’s two pictures of mine.
