I'm wondering whether sea cucumber deaths in the tank are only a danger with fish or whether it will affect crustaceans, mollusks or possibly ascidians too? From what i have read, the different forms of Holothurin and derivatives are both neurotoxic and destroying red blood cells, but ascidians mollusks and crustaceans don't have red blood cells but other kinds of blood cells.
Couldn't really find papers on the matter either.

Anyone have experience maybe with a death of a sea cucumber in a fishless tank?

I’ve had 3 sea cucumbers in my tank for 8-9 months now and never see em or know if their alive , but never had any toxins that I’m aware of

The holothurin should only affect fish, sensitive corals may suffer if there is large amounts in the system but otherwise it should not bother any other invertebrates.

Thanks,
