I just got sea Lettuce for my fuge and like an idiot, plunked it in and wached it clog my return pump screen segment and UV pump. Took an hour to get most of it out.

Do I grow this in a net bag? I have a lot of flow in my fuge.

Thanks!

Pic of sump would help a ton, so we can see the layout. I grow ulva in numerous tanks and have no issue with it, but my fuge area is divided from the rest of the sump and I use a screen to keep it from leaving that chamber.

It's an absolute mess right now due to the frantic lettuce removal I had to do.

No worries lol.

So the ulva is placed in the main focus of the second pic?

If so, that large flow through will need to be dealt with. Easiest way to do that is some egg crate, aka light diffuser. It would be placed over the large opening and would just need to have something keeping it against it. It could does not have to be glued or anything. Just some zip ties around it and the baffle is fine. It can be found by the ceiling tiles in any big box home improvement store.

This would keep the ulva contained in that section and would only run about 20 bucks to do it. They come in 2x4 pieces, so you would have some left over. You could make some frag racks or other things with it, if you wanted.

Me thinks I'm going to make a basket that sits on top of the bio bricks, i also have a GKM in there taking up space and an ORP probe I don't want to foul.
