Hi there. This is about an experiment of mine I called "seaweed infusion". The idea is to add microscopic life, spores and trace elements to your tank out of nature. This is DIY and complies with the idea of a biotope tank. Some might be anxious about adding something "out of the wild" to their tank. I just like the idea of biotopes and disagree with the idea of high tech aquariums. But this of course is a matter of taste and personal preference - no offense! In either case one must be familiar with the biochemical processes of the tank. I just find it easier to maintain the balance by keeping things as natural as possible. Have a closer look on my project if you like...

So if the collected dried algae was dead it would break down when put into water, releasing NH3/4, NO2, NO3 PO4 & algae educates. Is this the intended purpose of adding the liquid to an aquarium?
