Hello friends!

Has anybody set up a security camera or streaming setup to watch their tank from work? I'd love to set up some sort of live stream to watch at random times.
Open to any ideas!
I was thinking of using one of those pet cameras that let you throw treats or something and just setting it up near the tank.

Thanks!

Honestly Ring has new Cameras for 59.99 that work great, and no networking skills required.
Iv'e used Dlink's and other in past. Ring app is flawless....

I just set up a Blink camera for my front door, and I'm thinking about adding one on for my tank.

Here’s my question and I hope someone can answer it!
I’m looking at setting a live stream up for my tank and posting it on a site. Any help with this? I bought a Dlink camera many months ago and it works perfectly! But you can watch it on another platform, security reasons blah blah...

Any camera out there that’s reasonably cheap for a live stream and won’t time out?

2nd for Blink XT camera. I have one in my fish room watching tank, one in front yard watching driveway and one on back patio. They are wireless which is why I went with them. They take 2 alkaline 2AA batteries. I get about 8 or 9 months of life out of the batteries so far.

Saw this and jumping on. I have colleagues stuck telecommuting and want to share our aquarium with them. I have a Dlink 5009DL but cannot share it without giving them my username and password.

Going back to OP, best for streaming with the intent to share?

How do you like it hooked up to Profilux? Does it work pretty well?
I have tbh, i think i prefer just using the wyze app to view. The port forwarding walk around to use the profilux is bit much if you don’t know how to secure it.

The old ai’s can use a nest camera if have those. Know idea on the new bluetooth ones, i saw no reason to upgrade mine, so haven’t.

I just setup a Raspberry PI with a Pi Camera... Like i just got the parts last night and got it working today. One thing i think you will find that could be an issue for some is the video upload will eat into your data cap if you have one.
