Seeking DIY Ideas for Light Stand Holder

Dear Innovaters,

When I planned for my new tank, i didnt put too much thoughts on placing for the light stand.. the reality is hitting me now. This is my current (temp) setup....

As my tank happen to come with a wooden frame, currently I placed the lights on it but it is just a matter of time before it fails. So, hoping to find a permanent solution for this problem fast.

Any ideas/suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

You can mount lights to the wall or ceiling.
Looks like there is a gap between the tank and the wood. If so they make FRP panels that might slip inbetween the tank and the wood to keep the wood from getting wet

can you attach the lights from the top of them?

Thanks @lapin, thought about the wall and ceiling options. Was exploring other possible options. Currently there is a 4 in glass that is prenting the water from reaching the wood. Thanks for the FRP idea.. it got me thinking.

Thanks @sp1187, not a must. I explored that too...

But, i only have less than 0.5in clearence (glass) so it is not enough to hold the heavy light.

Hi @lapin, really liked the idea of FRP.. unfortunately only very little gap exist between the glass and the wood.. it will be impossible for me to slip a FRP in between

I made my light hanger with 1/2" conduit pipe and a pipe bender.

U don't have to make legs to rest on like I did. U would make it the width of your tank and straight leg down. Than screw it into either the wall or stand with the conduit fasteners.
