I purchased a Seneye Reef to use on my new to me reef. I know it says to soak the slide for 48 hours, but can I just put it in the tank and ignore the 1st 2 days of readings?

Reason behind this is I would like to ask the current owner to let me put it in their tank as a baseline monitor the upcoming move. I just don't want to inconvenience him any more than necessary.

Thanks!

I would and do let it soak for the full 48 hours per the instructions. But that’s just IMO.
