Hi everyone,

I could use some help. Two days ago my Seriatopora caliendrum suddenly started losing tissue very quickly – within hours most of the living tissue was peeling off, leaving just bare skeleton.

I fragged it to save what I could, cutting away the dead part (lost almost 60% of the frag). For about a day everything seemed stable, but this morning tissue loss started again. Now around 30% of what was left is also dying.

It looks like some kind of RTN, but I’m not completely sure. The strange thing is that all my other corals look fine.

Does anyone know what could be causing this, or if there’s anything I can do to stop it from spreading further? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance 🙏

Yup.
I had a thought, could it be last ditch efforts to expand to new territory? It's got that area all wrapped up, so let's move. Like, it needs competition to survive and keep growing.
Just a thought.
Can it be tested....
