Seth’s 310 Mega Matrix

Starting to put together a large build. I went back and forth between getting a Red Sea Reefer 1000, Cade 2100, or a large Waterbox. I ultimately decided to order a Planet Aquariums Mega Matrix 310.

I started collecting equipment a few months ago and so far I’ve ordered a Bashsea Pro sump, Apex Pro, Reefmat 1200, Marco Rock, Reef Octopus Regal 250 skimmer, BRS heaters with inkbird, Lifegard 120 UV, Aqua 57 watt UV, 2 48” Aquatic Life T5 hybrid lights, 4 Radion XR30 Pros, 4 Nero 7 wavemakers, 2 Cor 20 return pumps and Im sure a couple of things I’m forgetting.

I know I still need to order a chiller and at least one more pump, but the parts are coming in daily it seems like.

As far as long term plans I’m really struggling with stocking. I’d love to have a mixed reef mostly SPS dominate with some LPS, softies and clams, but I really want an Angel or two. Fish that are coming over from my 120 are:

Sailfin Tang
Blue Hippo Tang
Bristletooth Tang
One Spot Foxface
2 clowns
China Wrasse
Splinded Dottyback
Orange Spotted Goby

Ideally I would like to add a:
Purple Tang
Blonde Naso Tang
Emperor Angel
School of chromis

I’m pretty sure ill have to skip the Angels to have a mixed reef.

Finally finding some time to work on it. Trying to get all this plumbing worked out. Running two separate dedicated return pumps. Will end up running two more pumps for UV, algae scrubber etc.

finally got my rock work done and starting to add water this evening to the main display. Tomorrow I’ll finish gluing all the plumbing.

Got my lights hung and things are up running. Haven’t been running the lights but for maybe an hour in the evening, just for my viewing pleasure. Plan on waiting until the 6 month mark until I start adding coral and running my T5s. (Plus I still need to buy 2 more XR30s)
