I'll be following along...considering this tank myself to downsize from my 180. I hope your tank comes in soon!

Ok, here is today's delivery! I have also been in contact with the Tampa Live rock folks and got the low down on their rock. Very Interesting stuff. So today we have:

  • BRS 4 Stage Value Plus Water Saver - 150 GPD RO/DI Machine
  • Marineland Maxi-Jet 1200 (this is to mix the Salt and to pump in to the tank) I might have to get something else as well, will see how it goes)
  • RedSea Marine Care Multi Test Kit (Will move to Salifert down the line)
  • Hammerhead Float Plus magnet cleaner

It’s funny because in my day to day personal life i tend not to be that way! But I guess being a Risk Manager, when it comes to projects like this I tend to go into work mode :)

Good choice!
Yeah I think so. I read that entire Fritz thread and did not like some of what I heard. I then dug into TMC salt, which incidentally I used back in the UK, albeit not the pro stuff and the feedback on that is pretty much all positive. Plus they have been around for as long as I can remember! So thanks for the nudge in the right direction :)

I thought about this next post for a while, what I was thinking about was it's worth, I kind of wrote this a couple of times, then went a did something else and came back. Anyway, in the end I thought it might be an idea to give you a perceptive on where the 100.3 is going to live. There is only one issue with this location, and that is I am going to have to run two power strips from behind the sofa, or get an electrician to put in a couple of sockets. But it's not the end of the world!

This first view is from the front door. The tank was actually going to go to the left out of shot, but then I settled on it's final resting place which can be found further on! If you walked down the hallway there on your right, it's in that direction.

DSC03770.jpg

The first tank position was on the right there, where the 3 lamps are, the first shot was taken with my back to the white ADT alarm on the wall.

DSC03771.jpg

This shot was taken from the same position as the one above, looking through into the kitchen. If I were to have a webcam on the tank it would likely go where that bottle of wine is.

DSC03772.jpg

A view down the hallway, as you walk down the tank would come into view on your right just before you got to that light switch on the wall on the right.
DSC03773.jpg

Taken from the kitchen looking at the wall where the tank will go which is below that picture on the wall. So I will be able to see the tank from the kitchen, the kitchen dinette area and the living room. I thought this was a far better location that it being hidden next to the front door.

DSC03774.jpg

Here is a view from the back toward the back door. The tank will be on the left there!

DSC03775.jpg

And finally a view from the living room, you can see the power outlet there on the bottom left that I will have to use.

Almost there folks. Awaiting that shipping order to pop up in my inbox, I cant tell you how many times I check my email. But in the meantime the salt arrived today. Just the live-sand to get. If you have any recommendations please let me know!

I will say, big shout out to Marine Depot! I upgraded to the UPS 2-5 day service and they sent it 2 day Air! They are fast becoming my go to!
