hello my name is Shaggy and this is my RSR 250.
been in and out for the hobby for a few years.
Wife and I were looking at a WB, AIO and a Red Sea tanks, we spent about a week researching the WB and RSR. Thanks to this awesome place we went with a RSR 250. its going to be a BB aswell. I never really liked sand all that much.
im wait for another Radion XR15w Pro, MP 10 and a battery back up to get in for i get water going in it.

will be adding Dr. Tims One and done tomorrow then its just a waiting game from there, Return pump driver went crazy earlier and wouldnt work. its still not linked to my ReefLink, its just on at 100%. I see now i should have went with a bigger return than the S2 but im happy with how much its turning everything over (for now)

@Salt_for_Brains will you get your livestock online or from a LFS? I have to get everything online the two closest LFS with reef livestock are 90 miles away and 165 miles away. We're really isolated here in Montana. There's no way I can get a shipment in winter with the cold and peak summer heat in July-August so that leaves three months in Spring and three in Fall so I have to plan a lot with stocking goals.

I will probably get the livestock from a local LFS. I understand about being out in the sticks with no close LFS but I hate being in the city tbh. I haven't seen any online store I like. The one that comes close is $$$ and don't have a big stock, tho you can ask for a certain fish and I'll get it for you.

A little 7 month update, Fish: black saddleback clowns, flame fin Tang, and a chalk basslet. I added 20lbs of shelve rocks, a better skimmer, a MP40 to go along with the 2 MP10s, and some frags. I did have a V.puffer in there but he had to go because he ate my neon green bird's nest frag (the polyps).

Ones with a orange and yellow lens and the other is with just a orange lens. I moved the mp40 down to the bottom because it was just way to much flow for the corals, only have 3 fish for now, they have been in there awhile tho

@Salt_for_Brains Thanks!! Looks great. I'm starting out bare bottom and don't know if I'll ever switch to sand.

Yeah idk if I'd ever go back to sand lol. There's a lot of flow in that tank. I wanted a SPS only tank but my wife had other ideas lol
