New cherry tank stand inspired by piece from Pleasant Hill, KY Shaker Village. Darker pieces are boards that were cut and milled in the early 1900s and they've been kicking around my wife's family since then. (no idea why) The lighter is freshly milled and will darken to the same color in a few weeks. Just waiting on the knobs. Finish is 2 coats boiled linseed oil and 3 coats of shellac. Will get a final waxing once it's inside.

Great looking stand.....I'm liking it. Nice woodworking. My only other comment is that shellac does do well with water.
