I just acquired a frag tank that I'm going to turn into a shallow lagoon style reef tank that will double as a grow out tank for fish going to my 300g reef display tank. The dimensions are 36x18x9. Just wondering if anyone has any examples of shallow reef tanks that I can get ideas from.

I'm also trying to get ideas for which corals to keep. The tank will have a single noopsyche k7 pro III. Flow will be from the return pump only, so low flow. I am planning on trying mangroves.

Any interesting ideas/examples?

Not sure how “interesting” you’ll find it but feel free to check out my current build thread.

I actually saw this one when looking for examples on the forum. It looks great! My setup will be a little different since I wont have sump. I'm making an internal chamber for the filtration and pump so the tank will be an AIO. I will have to start a tank thread to document the build.
