use the largest auto top-off reservoir you can in your application!

I use 23 gallon slim jim trashcans for each of my ~90 gallon systems and don't have to refill for ~2 weeks. Less frequent maintenance, and allows you to go on vacation/travel with less stress! I use these trash cans due to their small footprint, durability, and cost-effectiveness versus "purpose designed" acrylic reservoirs: https://amzn.to/4fgS1ZT

Okay…so what are you using for a lid? I bought one of these and don’t want to pay over $50.00 for a lid. I’m thinking of just getting anything to cover it with.

Do not let your magnesium drop below 1250 if you do you will find that your alk. And calcium will be impossible to raise.

I like to use a little piece of paper towel between my thumb and finger to grab GHA, not only does it grip well but there are no loose bits of algae floating around the tank, use a new piece of paper towell for each pull.
