My condolences. My fox is my 2 sons favourite fish. I can’t imagine losing him. And yours is beautiful. I’m sorry Shaun.RIP foxy guy......
He was one of my bestist fishy friends, he’s been looking a little lethargic for about 4-5 days, hanging around in the rocks at the back of the tank were he sleeps. No signs of any illness, and out with the cleaner wrasse for his daily manicure several times each day.
He hasn’t been eating much for a few days so I guess I’ll never know the cause......
At Just under 10 months old, the corals are really growing, infact I’ve been fragging some of them into the S650
Enjoy, although as usual, the video doesn’t do It justice to what it looks like in real life, but you get the idea.....
Thanks Jan, I think the one you mean is a sunrise dottyback, Pseudochromis FlavivertexGreat video Shaun.
Love the polyp extension on all the corals and the fact that you have a lot of damsels.
Which fish is hte one that swims from back to front around 3:26? Looks to have a a yellow back and white/blue sides and belly.
Thanks Rev!Amazing BEAST of a tank!
Thanks Scott, It should get better with age as well, remember it’s still less than 10 months old and getting pretty much full.Amazing Shaun. I love the mixed reef. Great variety of corals and fish. I can imagine it’ll be even better once the SPS grow out even more.
My tank is less than 2 months old. I get what you mean. @Billldg has a new build coming along so he’ll have the baby monster tank to worry about soon. But it’s fun watching things grow. I get attached to corals and fish as they grow, change and transform. Thanks Scott, It should get better with age as well, remember it’s still less than 10 months old and getting pretty much full.
Ive been adding mainly SPS along the top layers and middle, and am now concentrating on probably LPS etc for the bottom layers, hence the mushroom corals appearing which look stunning in real life especially the big pink one on the left hand side of the tank
Well the S650 is full, I haven’t added any fish for ages, infact I’ve moved a few into the ‘big house’ and at some point will probably move the Emporer Angelfish as well. The others will stay were they are.My tank is less than 2 months old. I get what you mean. @Billldg has a new build coming along so he’ll have the baby monster tank to worry about soon. But it’s funny how you also have a 650L to play with. Goodness... how much stocking you have to do.
Is the emperor a juvie or adult? Those things go mad for LPS.Well the S650 is full, I haven’t added any fish for ages, infact I’ve moved a few into the ‘big house’ and at some point will probably move the Emporer Angelfish as well. The others will stay were they are.
The S650 is now the baby tank, but it’s still very big by most standards!
As far as looking after them, I don’t have much to do at all to be honest other than monitor them. I’ve systems in place for everything and most tasks are automated or very simple.
Juvenile and he’s a sweety, so far.........Is the emperor a juvie or adult? Those things go mad for LPS.

My view in the evenings as the lights dim and the systems go blue, it’s simply magical......
Here’s a video of the new system at around 9 1/2 months old. I hope you enjoy it.
