Hi, I had an "accident" with a power head directing way too much flow directly at a polyps, literally "shaving off" all its tentacles and leaving small stump like growth on the rock. I have placed the rock on the sand bed with little flow. Is there any chance it will grow back?

I regularly chop the heads off my clove polyps when they get too long. They are back in a week or two.
They need a lot of maintenance to keep them from getting out of control.
