Hey all! My name is Paul, I'm just getting back into this madness and could use some ideas/input. I've been keeping aquariums for roughly 20 years and the last 10 or so I've been working more with the Walstad Method of planted tanks and bioactive paludariums for dart frogs and other amphibians/reptiles. I currently keep a group of 4 dwarf mudskippers 1 confirmed male and female, I hope to breed them and successfully raise the young.

I'm working on an odd one right now and I'm curious if I can find out a few more specifics. I want to spread a small amount of seatak on the walls of my tank to entice coral to grow there. Would it be better to have a thick spread or would it really matter?

My other question would be off gassing. When I was given the seatak I was told it off gasses CO2 and I'm wondering how long it does this? Depending on that it could be extremely useful in planted tanks for regulating those levels and getting optimal plant growth.

Hope this explains some of the madness that may come out of my brain in the future and look forward to talk with yas in the threads! Take it easy and have a great night!

I suspect that Seatak releases CO2 while it is curing and would likely stop after it has cured. Either way, the amount of CO2 that might be present would likely be minimal and not something that would provide CO2 for very long.
