Hey anyone shooting photos under radions? If so please post photos and what settings you find best for both the camera and the leds themselves.

I was just looking for an answer to this. Maybe a little bump will get some attention. I'm curious as to what setting to put radions for some of these great fts I see on here. Whether to put them on a 14k or 20k would get better results. Anyone have any suggestions?

Well no response but I was talking with a Blue Seas Aquarium rep that uses gen 4's and he said he shoots pics for website set at 20k. I'm still playing with my camera also and am following in case someone finds your thread.

Bump!

Yeah I'm going to try with an orange filter and tube extender. At 20k my photos usually turn out too blue.

Just took a pic with a 100mm macro lens and tube extender. No orange filter used because it was coming out too dark. Now I have another set of problems. The photos are coming out purple. Not even blue this time which was my original problem.

The is my OG Reef raft pink cadillac. In the photo everything has come out purple even the polyps which are blue in real life. Anyone know how to correct this?

When I take photos, I use the EcoSmart Live app and "slide" my Radions to a setting of 14,000K or 13,500K.
The tank itself looks very washed out, but the camera still picks up enough of the blue light that the photos look like the tank under my normal schedule.

As far as the camera, I use a Canon SL1 with the Aperture Priority setting (Av). Sometimes I dabble by tweaking the settings just a little, but I'm not too savvy when it comes to understanding photography terminology and practices.

Here's a couple sample shots with camera on my phone.

This was set at white and royal.

This was 14k.

I'm leaning to the 14k.
