Short arms-deep tank, help!

So I have an acrylic 180 which is 24" deep. The bigger issue is the top of the tank which is braced with acrylic all around and in the middle to provide strength.

So the problem I'm having is being able to get the small things off the bottom. I have that big Tunze contraption but it's not good for small items like coral pieces and small crab shells that are accumulating on the sand bed. Does anyone know of a product which would help me grab small things on the bottom? Even if someone created a DIY item and help is appreciated.

for larger items I use those grabber things. otherwise a 10" tweezers. my tank is 24" and I'm a short guy. I can reach the bottom with a step stool, but only if I go all the way to my shoulder.

Lol the thread titles funny but i have the same issue, 10 inch tongs for smaller things nd for larger I use a doublesided plastic salad tossing spoon to pickstuff up, hey it works

I use BBQ tongs.... I don't know the official name. There's 100% plastic ones, but to be honest, I use the metal ones because they are so much nicer to work with. I just rinse in freshwater after. I also have those long aquarium grabber thingies that I use for everything around the house. After I had my back surgery, I had my aquarium tongs tucked into my brace, just in case I needed to pick something up from the floor.

In my case it's a 30 inch deep tank and 34 inch wide tank and I manage quite well with good quality tongs and a bit of getting used to them :)
