im curious if I should think about adding more flow. I have a 90 cube (30x30x24). I'm running two mp40qd's. I have them arranged on adjacent sides (the two sides of the aquarium against the walls) at like 80% reefcrest antisync. Been thinking about adding some directional flow or something to mix things up.

90gal cube with 2 mp40 == that's more flow than needed :)... just play with other modes that the mp40 have to offer... i got a 105gal with 2mp40qd, i use gyre mode, and nutrient transport max out at 80% on one pump--and anti-sync on the other.

Thanks, I just wasn't sure if I was missing anything by not having the pumps oppose each other, or if I would gain any coral health by pointing something directional from the front corner.

I run four MP-10's on a 36in 65 gal tank. It wouldn't hurt your system to have different flow options.

Well I have a five foot 90 gallon DT and am currently running four MP 40's and one MP 10. Watch THIS VIDEO by Dana Riddle and you might just want to add a bit workflow to your tank. :D

When my fish are pinned against the glass I back the flow down a bit. The only sps I have that doesn't like tons of flow are Echinatas and red Dragon
