I just finished my second build and am just a couple years into the hobby. Both are 12 gallon nanos, one long and the new one tall. It's 24" long, 16" height and 8" deep.

I'm currently running a Current USA Orbit bar that fits perfectly flat and doesn't spill any light. It's not the Pro version and cost me about 150.

While reading some say it's a great budget light and can grow anything. Others say it can only grow softies. Then there are those who say it's junk.

So here's my question: Should I upgrade it and to what? Keep in mind I'm not especially great at growing corals yet and can use any help I can get from my equipment.

Lastly I'll mention I like bar lights for this build. AI Prime will spill all over the place on a 8" deep tank.

Thanks in advance for recommendations and happy reefing.
