Looking for some advice. I will be upgrading my tank soon and I am debating between a few ideas for the lights. Background I currently have 5 orphek or4 bars I am trying to use for this next tank (2 blue plus, 2 reef day, 1 uv) The new tank will be 24 front to back 30 wide and 18 tall. The bars are 24 inches running along the width. The goal is to transfer all of my acros from my current tank to the new tank

Option 1
Get 2 more orphek bars 1 reef day and 1 blue sky. This is the cheapest option and should be enough par from experience with these bars.

Option 2
Add an orphek Atlantic, with 3 bars in the front and 2 in the back. Advantage here is more control of light and spectrum and an excess of par to use. plus same ecosystem making it easier to control.

Option 3
Add 2 reefi Uno's in the same configuration as the Atlantic. Similar advantages but separate ecosystems for control.

Option 4
Add meridian 24 shallow reef spectrum. Good control and par, plus I can get a discount on them. Not the biggest fan of their app.

I am currently running the sun/Moon sync option on the orpheks and it is something I would like to keep in the future. The app is not a deal breaker as it's basically used once for set up.

Would like to hear everyone's opinions on this

Others may disagree but I think 5 OR4 bars is more than enough power and coverage for your new tank size. I wouldn't add anything if it were me. With the fixtures you have, you could easily burn your whole tank to a crisp if you wanted to.

Mhmmm interesting, I am also just considering more coverage. I currently have them all at 80-90% on my 20 gallon water box. Acros don't seem bothered at all, even got some zoas at the bottom
