Post up the pics and tell us what kind of green slimer it is, growth rate, placement, etc... Looking to see if I should add it to my tank or not.

Green slimer on the left.

I have had it only a month so there isn't much I cal tell about it yet. I have had it under 4 ATI blue plus bulbs about 4" under the water with a par reading of 250-275.

I recently upgraded my lights so I have moved it lower in the tank.

awesome, man I am waiting to get my autodoser in so I can start keeping these guys healthy. Got rid of all my SPS because they were not surviving in my tank and dosing manually just wasn't doing it.

Yes, "Green Slimer" like so many other corals (Strawberry Shortcake, Pink Lemonade, Red Planet, Ice Fire...etc.) have been lumped into a generic catagory, so yes, there are many types of green slimers out there. Here's an old pic of mine. It has huge polyps that blanket it and is as thick as my thumb!

The only reason some of those corals you mentioned are lumped together is that there are still wild corals coming in that look he similar. However that can not be said so much for pink lemonade (never seen a wild look close) and we'll most strawberry Shortcake are wild. The original Ice Fire is from Fiji and different than the wild aussie ones we see. Really a side from maybe the strawberry Shortcake I don't think lol should lump look a like corals with the same name as the original. Which leads me to your green slimer. I have that same one and don't call it green slimer....it's a.different species even from the original.
