It’s a replacement to the original, which I ...

And is this when the skimmate started changing? Then, maybe just wait and it'll get better. It makes sense that its over-performing, being new and all...

No it was skimming like a champion when I got the new one
It started when handfuls of slime got pushed out my pipes and since that’s almost but stopped the colours going back dark so I think it’s why

Do any skimmers have a siphon overflow in the cup so it will automatically drain into a larger pail when the liquid reaches a certain level / height in the collection cup ?

Also would adding some sort of
Metal mesh break up the foam helping to pop the bubbles so it condenses back into liquid more quickly in the collection cup ?

Mine has a manual drain that I can hook up to a remote reservoir. As far as the screen idea I don't think that would work. Mine will force foam trough the small gap where the lid and cup meet. What I do is I run a thin bead of olive oil there and around the air vents on the cup. That will break the bubbles up and let the gunk collect in the cup.

Raise it up, the sweet spot on those skimmers is 7 inches. Once I raised mine my skim mate is nice and dark and stinky, the adjusting is between 2 and 3

Is there a way to adjust the airflow that you have worked out?

Anyone barfed yet when it’s like this
