I can't remember the capacity of this Wesco tank. I believe it is ~55 gallons. I picked this model due to it's small diameter. I needed something ~50 gallons that would fit in this space without interfering with parking in my garage. I've tapped the incoming water line for the hot water tank to feed the RO unit. The RO waste feeds into the AC drain line. I mix salt water as needed in 33 gallon brute trash cans.
I really like the dimensions of this one. Trying to maximize space in the fish room while maximizing water storage. Tough to do

My storage tank holds approximately 90 gallons for water changes on my 450 display tank.

A couple of questions for you guys - as I have a 230G ready to ship but the whole nightmare of water changes is giving me a bit of a pause to reconsider.

Do you add the salt manually? Is that just before the water change? What about heaters? Is there a heater in your saltwater reservoir?

I guess you don't want to see the 3g bucket for my 5g tank. LOL

There are some serious water stations going on in this thread. :) This is good to see if/when I can upgrade my tank.

My mixing station is in my spare room, so my water is kept at room temp. No heater needed.

I add salt once a month, manually. I mix up enough for a months worth of water changes.
