I’ve been reefing for three years now. I’ve experimented with different types of corals since I got started. I’ve had acros, torches, leathers, zoas, and many more. Even though I get into one type of coral for a while, my heart is with one of the first corals I purchased. It was a bubble coral I fell in love with at my LFS. It was about 4” across and was in the shape of a heart. I bought it immediately and placed it delicately in my bio cube 32. Three years later and after a tank upgrade to a Red Sea 350, this guy is a monster. I’ve had to adjust the rock work several times to keep his tentacles from frying his neighbors. Watching him every evening brings such great joy. He’s about 10” across now and he’s just an incredible mood lifer. I get stoned in the evenings and appreciate the bubbles, the way the tentacles expand and sway in the current. I recently added a new pair of clownfish to my tank. Unexpectedly they tried to host the monster bubble coral. From what I read this is very risky as the bubble could easily gobble a small clown. After two weeks of courting the bubble, only one clown made it out alive. Right now he’s the champion of the bubble wars. Weaves in and out of the bubbles like a pro. I’m a proud daddy. Sorry if this sounds like a love letter to bubbles. Like I said, I’m stoned. Enjoy the pictures!

Really nice. Wish I had one to show off. Had a really nice “dusty white” colored one back in the day. I’d love to get one like yours. On the wish list. One of my favorite LPS.

Thank you. It's beautiful but an absolute terrorist.

6" sweepers constantly attacking anything it can reach.
I know!!! Mine has been recently attacking my torch but the torch quickly recovers. I somehow have it hosting a clown. I thought it would get eaten the first night but it weaves in and out of the bubbles with ease. I can’t find her mate so I’m thinking that one wasn’t so lucky.

I try to disuade my guys from bubble hopping which they want to do more than nems. I've chased her out with the grabbers a few times

I have yet to see sweepers and I do not have any missing fish. Maybe I've just gotten lucky? Truly, my favorite coral though. It is without a doubt, the focal point of the tank. These are some pictures right after I got her. She is a beast. I adopted her from another reefer. They had her about 6 years that I know of but maybe longer. Her shape has changed a lot over the last few weeks as she is adjusting to the tidal current in the tank. She is more curvy now.

Indo bi-color bubble. Maybe 6-8" when bubbled up? Has eaten my fish. It's aggressive so it has its own tank corner with nothing but either glass on one side or rock on the other. Re-did my aquascape to make sure it had space.

My lights are at peak right now so these are about as small of an example as I can give. Took this video just now. For perspective those sweepers are about 4 in right now

Here is my baby. I upgraded from my BioCube just for her. Got it from my buddy @Vinman he fragged his monster and I was lucky enough to get a piece. It is now a monster. Check out his thread about fragging a bubble coral. Most won’t do it and he did and it was successful. You asked for photos, here you go.
