Aquascaper, I noticed you have a Snowflake eel in the tank with the clams. I have had bad experiences with mixing the two, I had a Snowflake that would rip the gills right out of clams.

Very nice collection btw.

close up of the Tuamotu--she's still gaping from when we got her, but she is looking much better

Yeah,- I don't suggest anyone reef like 'Scaper reefs, I take a lot of "qualified risks" - but the research and observations are done daily....
One of my signature inhabitants are sea apples:neutral: have kept them happily for 20+ years.....

That particular Tank was a 29g Biocube that I set up for my daughter-
and the picture was the Tank's 5 month birthday pic.

The clam in the 4th shot- was a Ultra Gold Maxima- these little gems were about 2 1/2" and were amazing color combos- yet each had a gold infusion in the color pattern-
They were from Vanuatu.

1st- Thanks for the kind words.....

2nd- No problembs with the snowflake- But- we have a bit of an advantage as we ingage in animal behavior sculpting and modification...

explination- our eels- we get them as babies and feed them by hand (no stick) from the beginning.
That particular eel was given to us from a LFS that had her for 3 years.
They housed her in the liverock bin (really nice set-up) but it got to the point where she would come out of the top of the water and bite anyone who attempted to remove liverock.....

The first day we brought her home I began behavior modification techniques and she has been feed by hand only ever since...
She is approx 4' long, gentle, and Sweet- absolute lovely creature...

I'll join in. Here are some photos of the clams I've own. Unfortunately, I've lost most of them from a bad case of PM. I'm still battling it right now and I'm down to 9 clams when at one time I've had about 25. As much as I love clams, I can't seem to get too excited over them right now. It's just depressing. I won't be getting any more for a long time. Not atleast until I have a QT and a dedicated tank setup just for clams. I've been wanting to post for a while but I just couldn't bring myself to doing it until now. It's just sad looking at them. Anyway, here they are. Hope you guys enjoy it as much as I've enjoyed them prior to my PM problem.
