The saltwater ones seem to be almost impossible to get but the freshwater ones are pretty common. I get mine from my LFS or petsmart. However this site is good I believe.Where is a good resource for obtain the live feeder shrimp? Everywhere says out of stock for me, and my lfs doesn't get them.

I doubt anyone here has seen a white mouth moray, Gymnothorax meleagris in the hobby? I saw some wild ones and they were incredibly pretty.
Wow!![]()
This was mine. I caught him myself while living in Hawaii. By the time I moved and gave him away, he was 2.5 ft long.
I was originally going to have a friend of mine that worked at the fish store in Ewa hold onto him and ship him out to me when I got a tank set up here, but it took me longer than expected and by the time I contacted him again when I was ready, he never responded. I imagine he sold it or his boss didn't want it taking up tank space anymore. I miss my buddy, but I understand.Wow!
Shame they are rare outside of Hawaii
Not to derail, but I was trying to send you a DM about a scorp I saw available that I didn't know if you were interested in, but it said I couldn't. Start one with me if you're interested. For those interested in some ideas for food choices.

Lion King's dead food recommendations
I'm a health nut if you haven't noticed, this also translates to my pets. Today I will cover some of the dead foods I feed and why, with some nutritional info that I recall off the top of my head. This is by no means all the foods you can feed, these are just the ones I include in my feedings...www.reef2reef.com
OMG the names. So clever. Here’s Eelvis Presley and Eely Nelson
What variety are you feeling your eels? I want to make sure my pretty baby gets good nutrition.
If you know where I can find one, lemme know.I doubt anyone here has seen a white mouth moray, Gymnothorax meleagris in the hobby? I saw some wild ones and they were incredibly pretty.
I'm not one to brag, but I got another one.

We have a third one at the store I'm holding for a guy that wanted one (another weirdo eel-collecting guy, who could've guessed?), but if he doesn't answer my calls to come get it I think I'll be happy to have three together.
The original kicked the new guy out of his patch of rocks, but hopefully that will change when they move into their permanent tank once it's set up. I've always loved watching multiple eels of the same species sticking out of the same hole, looks cozy for them.
They're basically a tiny dragon, they only get a thin foot long, which also means I don't see them very often outside of feeding. I'd be more surprised if you can find one period lolHow aggressive are the chestnut morays?
