This is Frosty, our Snowflake eel. He has been with us for several years now. He was a little guy when we first saw him at the LFS. Up until then I was happy with the two 65 gallon freshwater tanks we had. When I saw him, I knew it was time to switch one of the 65s over to salt water. It wasn't long before the 65 was replaced with a 125, where he is king. He's somewhere around 20 to 24 inches long now. Whenever he is out of a cave he is on the move so I can't get a accurate measurement. He has never disturbed any of the other fish living with him. He has survived two mass extinction events where all the other fish in the tank died. He is currently sharing his tank with a Lawnmover Blenny, a Blue Tang, a Red Toothed Triggerfish, a Desjardini Sailfin Tang and a Blue Throat Triggerfish. This picture was taken just before feeding time so was waiting for his food. Someday I'll get a picture when he's out and about :)

Only downside is he cost a premium for the small size and he grows what seems like an inch a day :grinning-face-with-sweat: but still far from adult size for now.
I can't get any shippers to commit to a small size they all say pay me 100% up front and you get what you get.

What company allowed you to hold them to a size?

I would buy tomorrow if I new a small size was coming

Thanks in advance for the info on the shipper allowing sizes !!!

I actually found the seller on here, it was listed on marketplace. Country Critters still has a baby, not as small as mine but from the same supplier.

Beautiful moray, and thank you! I'll not risk him with the tessalata but instead I'll keep him temporarily with the fine spotted and the zebra

Indeed they are massive! I ordered a smaller one to go with my three eels in the 150g temporarily (cant risk him with my Tess)
Yeah these dudes get 8 feet long! They will need like a 450 if not way bigger! Most people keep them in like 1000 gallon tanks!
