My 10’ x 3’ x 3’ 650 gallons (750 Gallons total system volume). Three islands with lots of negative space in between for the fish to swim. Used dried (bleached and acid washed) Caribbean Sea live rock... had issues in prev tank with cirolanid isopods so nuked old rock and new fresh rock. Large pieces between 40-60lbs each stacked and secured with hydraulic cement.

Wow, looks great! Can I ask where the cirolanid pods came from?

They came in with live rock from Caribbean Sea. I live in the Caribbean and the LFS had rock they got fresh from the sea. The other live stuff on it was great until you meet the little buggers. They went for the fish and even when I put my arms in tank. Was hell to get rid of...

Looks awesome. I want to do something similar (on a smaller scale since we have a 180 lol) when we move and have to set the tank back up. I have figured out that I will always have to have some kind of "cavern" type set up in ours though. If you look at my pics I just posted, on the left side of the tank you see a spot cleared out down to the egg crate. That wasn't designed like that lol. Our Lt Tang has cleared all the sand out under that rock until he made his home there. And if any sand or shells or anything get under there, he flips out and cleans it out again. It's like he has OCD.

Make sure you stabilize the rock work somehow when you make caverns. Have lost fish years ago when rock shifted and killed fish hiding in caverns. I used hydraulic cement to anchor my rocks to keep it stable. The rock work survived a 6.9 earthquake without shifting in any way.

Here's my 240G red sea reefer tank. It's only five months old so lots of growth to come. Quite happy with the scape hibut thinking some additions to come.

Used E-Marco-400 Cement and covered cement seams with sand. Used a flat base piece to build from and supported structure with rock piles during cement curing. PVC for height reference.
