Put this scape together for an 180 gallon build.
80Lb of Marco Rock Foundation and 90Lb of Shelf.
Absolutely beautiful. I see happy fish in your future.

Had to rescape after chasing everyone out due to an ich outbreak... Here is what I wound up with. Wondering if it might not look better with a little less in there. I was trying to build as many good sized caves as possible, but I may have gotten a little carried away. Am considering removing the rock circled. I'm starting another tank that is going to be an SPS tank, so getting super high light will be less of a priority.

What do you guys think?

You’ll have more of an island look, it’s up to you what you want. Both look good IMO...

Great looking setups everyone! The boomies and minimal rockwork is the way to go. ;) These sorts of setups look great with stags growing out to great heights. My fish also appreciate the extra room to swim. Oh, and flow is MUCH easier to handle and deal with when you have minimal obstructions.

I made a covered back wall aquascape for my 6' 220 gallon tank.

I built a model of the inside dimensions of the tank out of cheap particle board to eliminate any risk of scratching or breaking the tank glass.

After curing, I siliconed it to the back and sides of the tank.

A couple things I really like about my setup is all the empty space for fish and corals. I also don't have any dead spots where detritus can build in a spot impossible to clean.

So I decided to start fresh with my system. I’ve held on to my fish, fuge is still running and full, same sand with a massive stir followed by a 50% water change. I’ve got approximately 120lbs of new rock, structures built by Kevin at Top Shelf Aquatics, and approximately 40lbs of old Haitian/Pukani rock that has been in my tanks for 9+ years. Gonna let it sit for a few months, just run blue LEDs for the fish for a couple of hours. Before and after pics..

We are in the process of setting up a 180 that will be mainly fish and live rock with probably a couple lower end corals (don't want to invest too heavily in coral as we will be moving next year) trying to get ideas for aquascaping. Any tips or suggestions for this kind of service up?
