I used to not like zoas at all very much until recently. I actually thought they were really ugly lol. But now I’m obsessed!

So as the title says, show off your most expensive zoa! Or whichever your most beautiful one is. As I’ve been noticing at the LFSs some of the nameless ones are more colourful and stunning than the “designer” ones :)

I haven’t been in the “high end” Zoa game for long, but I’m working on it! Also pardon the pictures, they’re far from professional..

Snow owls are one of my favorites, it’s like a white, black and purple utter chaos. This is an immature polyp so it doesn’t have its full pattern yet.

I’m also a sucker for wolverines. Just a lovely contrast but temperamental as can be.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder with zoas. It’s pointless to play the name game, just buy what you love and can’t live without in your aquarium lol.

I'm frugal so nothing in my tank is expensive but I do like zoas
These I fell in love with and I found them on sale for 5 zoas for $7.00
They will be here on Thursday as well as two more also at $7.00 a piece

I was never very interested in zoas when I first started in this hobby, I went straight to loving all euphyllia and rock flower nems. BUT after seeing some beautiful Zoa gardens, I got OBSESSED. I mainly go by bright colors though and sometimes by the “best bang for my buck” when it comes to designers.

In the picture below starting from front to back; JF Insane Rainbows (top fav, also hermits bothered it before pics), Electric Oompa Loompas, Kedd’s Reds (kinda to the left), Fire and Ice and finally Halle Berrys.

In these pictures there’s Utter Chaos (grow fast and unique), Armor of God and Magicians.

Lastly my favorite pieces in my little 13.5 tank, these large Zoa rocks!

I am new to the zoa game. Most expensive so far has been the rastas. Won a contest at aquashella from Remy(Bahama Llama) and he sent me an Aphrodite frag not pictured, that is becoming my favorite.

Been growing this from a while. Poto exosphere, same color as a strat, just lacks the black spiral ring inside

That’s called Stratocaster here is what an exosphere actually looks like:

Actually I have 4 different morphs of stratocasters. These completely dwarf all of them in terms of color. Yea those exospheres are so amazing man! Usually when I hear exospheres I think of those But with all the naming stuff, it is what it is so

Well there is some kind of consensus on the name tho… Exospheres (my pic) have a lineage back to south Florida and a story behind them. So your stratocasters can’t be called Exospheres just like mohawks can’t be called stratospheres lol

There is different morphs but what you got there is a TRUE Stratocaster. That’s how they should look like not the faded ones.

POTO calls them different so it’s an ongoing debate. But the green version (exosphere) is perhaps the brightest Zoa I’ve seen under white/daylight, a decent colony is unreal in person, the green is sooo bright!
