You may have taken me wrong, what I meant to say is your piece is in no way close to that picture,
your piece is a lot nicer, it's healthy looking and def an acro
to me that that rr piece is neither, not to say the rr piece isn't cool, but it needs some time for sure

it looks close, so you could probably start your bidding at $1500

Nah deff not 1500$ this piece I have is extremely a slow grower. Fragged it one other time for a 3/4" piece to put in a different tank we have and it did well no. Movement but the frag I made lost color due to fragging a piece and switching it to a different tank . But still got the bigger piece doing well .

so basically two 2k frags were sold as mystery sps. And not one photo exist of a one inch captive frag? Crazy ! you would figure on the number one saltwater forum in the world it would be on here... I am curious to see the captive colors.

Saw it in person and i'm 99% it a porites. porites is a sps. I don't really take picture of store coral but this one was so sweet so have to.

The only reason i toke a pictures of it because it have red,green,yellow,orange and pink in it. my iphone picture don't show all the color. it's like a rainbow so many colors.

that's what I was getting at too. Why pay $2000 when his looks better. I guess you would be paying for a name. RR has some really nice stuff though.

I would guess it is porites. I was looking at Veron and found a couple possible species. More so than montipora but that doesn't cancel it out as not being a sp of montipora.
