Thanks bud I no it's not but it's the closest I got to it lol
You may have taken me wrong, what I meant to say is your piece is in no way close to that picture,
your piece is a lot nicer, it's healthy looking and def an acro
to me that that rr piece is neither, not to say the rr piece isn't cool, but it needs some time for sure
:)

it looks close, so you could probably start your bidding at $1500

Nah deff not 1500$ this piece I have is extremely a slow grower. Fragged it one other time for a 3/4" piece to put in a different tank we have and it did well no. Movement but the frag I made lost color due to fragging a piece and switching it to a different tank . But still got the bigger piece doing well .

Thanks allot! That means a million too me . Thanks for the kind words bud!

so basically two 2k frags were sold as mystery sps. And not one photo exist of a one inch captive frag? Crazy ! you would figure on the number one saltwater forum in the world it would be on here... I am curious to see the captive colors.

Almost looks like a rainbow goni covering an acro skeleton with its polyps retracted.

I still think Jake Adams was correct; looks like Porites to me too.

Saw it in person and i'm 99% it a porites. porites is a sps. I don't really take picture of store coral but this one was so sweet so have to.

that's what I was getting at too. Why pay $2000 when his looks better. I guess you would be paying for a name. RR has some really nice stuff though.

looks like i found one on another forum.... i thought it was close but when i clicked picture it was labeled lol. this is not mine and would never pay for it

I would guess it is porites. I was looking at Veron and found a couple possible species. More so than montipora but that doesn't cancel it out as not being a sp of montipora.
