As I said don't want to turn this into a P match because it really does not matter regarding the difficulty of breeding them perhaps that's why? I don't care except I like to address them accordingly in the morning lol

GET OUT 4- 5 hundred now
If you account for inflation from 1995 to present, my $15 yellow tang should be around $30 (ok, $31.27 at 108%). The Hawaiian fish ban affected the YT so that is skewed but PT should be $30-40/each. I bought a small purple tang 2 months ago for $75, still expensive, but “ain’t bad” considering everything else. I wish that the price of tangs will come down to $50/each… but again, only a wish.

Ok tell me where this place is seriously they are all over $ 400 here. Do they ship? I would try it for the first time at that price. How is the thing going in Hawaii A guy was trying to get us to sign a petition because the Government was reconsidering. They just want license fees like every government I think

That was 30 years ago man, accounted for inflation. My point is why, even purple tangs, are they ridiculously expensive. Actually, all fish in general. But yes — you can get PT’s for $75 at Harry’s Marine Life, and they do ship.

Sorry but the petition was just maybe a year ago because they are thinking of reopening it for harvest with controls

How many customers were there for purple tangs in 1995 compared to now!?!! Supply and demand is what is driving up costs. Regardless, I don't see fish collectors driving luxury cars! And if I hypothetically pay more for something, I hypothetically will also give it more care. So I am happy to pay in the hundreds for them. Although, I definitely would not buy them if they were in the thousands!

I just bought a second Tuxedo Urchin the last one dead only $ 40 . It does not matter to me the cost. I take it personal if something dies

Hope they ship International no tarrifs lol
Reciprocal tariffs are only applicable to foreign countries; and if Canada becomes the 51st state, we're good! lol

Gotta love all the distractions and free comedy show... that's why I just stick to reefing.

Same - I feel bad even a clown/damsel dies since it's my responsibility to care of them. That said, there are some damsels that always nip my hand and scare the crap outta me...I do want them dead! j/k

Very nice tangs! Are you going to clean the algae off the walls anytime soon:grinning-face-with-sweat:?
No, from the flame angels to the tangs they graze on the glass all day long. On the Purple Tangs back in the 90's if you could find one in San Antonio they where over $200
