My 2 guys checking out the new addition... there was a little posturing by the Yellow towards the Naso but after a day all seems pretty peaceful... the white tail couldn’t have cared less!

Butt shot :). Unusual view to say the least.
They are not the best of buddies but doing fine with each other in my 320. The Yellow tang is the oldest of my tangs but the Purple and PBT have outgrowth him. The Purple tang is a beautiful tang but not photogenic like the Yellow or PBT.

CB Yellow tang at Petco. I am thinking of getting him but I afraid that the fins won’t normalizes later. I don’t want to spen 80.00 for a deformed tang. What do you guys think?

Id pass on him. Petco can get larger tangs for 80$ that one is just aquacultured.. ask them to special order a medium sized tang. This is mine i got for 80$ from petco. My petco can order any fish i want..they even ordered a 1000$ gem tang awhile ago

Also my sailfin tang a friend gave me a few weeks ago for free.. my blond naso tang. And i have a beautiful tomini tang too

I kinds liked this pic of my naso and sail fin..the naso is saying CHEEESE.

Im not sure 100% who my favorite is.. but id have to say its my tomini tang and maybe the naso next.. The tomini is extremely active and intelligent.. he goes to a specific corner of the tank to poop.. Any animal that does its business in a corner away from where it eats is intelligent

Is this Yellow tang captive bred? If yes, did he have any fin deformities that later resolved? TIA
Also it is possible that he have some white spots on him. Is this transient or due to over exposure? Is the coloration of your yellow tang normal?
I want a CB tang but not a deformed CB tang (like I want non deformed CB clowns with is essentially impossible to get)

I have two Yellow tangs right now in different tanks. One I had since he was about 1.5 inches. The other was given to me by a friend who took his tank down (along with a Blue tang and Melanurus wrasse). I think support captive bred is great, and getting tiny fish is great. I love to see them grow in my tank. However, if there is something I don't like, it is deformed fish or fish marked by scars from diseases.
I would get the CB tang, it I am sure that he will not continue to be deformed, but will not get him if the chance of deformities is significant. You can see pictures of my yellow tang earlier in this page, post 1131.
