After a catastrophe in my tank due to bacteria and a deep disturbed sandbed, I went ahead and removed all the affected corals as they were dying. I took out about 4/5th of the sand, did plenty of small water changes, filtered over polyfilter and chemipure elite, finally the 13 gallon tank is back to healthy. So today I bought some new frags. I do 3 small water changes every week of 3 liters. I think that's about 3 quarters of a gallon? For now I replace the small pieces of polyfilter every other day. What you all think it looks like now?

Here is my 9.1g nano. I ran it FO for 9 months and just started adding coral last month. I custom built this into a bookcase in my living room. I have a Hydra 32 light and run a massively oversized skimmer and a little carbon for filtration. Total water volume is 17g with the sump. Two clowns, a trimma goby, a hammer, frogspawn, goniopora and 6 zoa frags make up the livestock.

So everyone running a lidless tank, no worry of fish jumping out? Especially those with clownfish?

Always a worry with a lidless tank. That being said clownfish are some of the least likely fish to jump. Especially in a nano tank if they are the only fish. Mine are in a low traffic location unlikely to be startled. My larger display tank does have a lid but I've never put one on this nano. Perhaps I should as I have had a couple of sexy shimp jump (over several years).

planning on only 2 clowns in my tank, besides cuc and some corals down the road. I guess all fish can jump out, I’ll also build a screen lid at some point to be safe.

Here is my 14g Rimless Cube. Its still a work in progress, its my first ever saltwater tank. I started it in June of 2020. I run two Aquaclear 30 HOB for filtration. the intake sponges handle mechanical, the one on the left has chemipure elite for chemical filtration, the one on the right has an Intank Aquatics insert and functions as a mini refugium. its currently growing chaeto and a bunch of stuff that it shouldnt be lol. I use aquavitro salinity salt and I have an RO/DI unit for water changes.

Stocking:
Wyoming White Clown
Ruby Long Fin Fairy Wrasse
Purple Foot BTA

Coral:
Bizzaro Cyphastrea (want it to encrust the pile of snail shells)
GSP

CUC:
Cleaner Shrimp
3 Astrea Snails
Emerald Crab
3 Bumblebee Snails

Its been a fun process, but I have definitely have a lot to learn about keeping things balanced and stable. I had a massive red cyano breakout and there are currently vermetid snails all over.

Hey nice tank but too bad with the cyano. Did you gain control of it?
