If you were planning on picking up 3-4 frags to be a showpiece in your tank, where would you be buying them from?

Would appreciate some specific piece recs/photos in your tanks if you have them!

I'd be looking through BattelCoral's site. Not only would I trust the frags are healthy, I'd trust him to pick out a group that would compliment one another well as far as color and growth structure.

I love strong contrasting colors that you can see from across the room.

Colors from opposite sides of the color wheel for best impact.

Tank looks amazing. Really like that blue/yellow piece on the far right!

you r VERY close to @SBB Corals sbbcorals.com
notafeesh.com
@hunterallen40 is great!!!
poto is great too!
reefco(in store is best)
aquatic obsessions(again, in store)
these r all were I shop at, so have fun!
Actually just got some pieces from poto. Really good stuff, their sps is just a bit pricey. Almost everything is 250 or more a frag. I was leaning towards Battlecorals and SBB as they seem to have high quality stuff for a great price. SBB also seems to run a lot of sales, any idea when next one may be?

Oh really? I saw they did one in September but didn’t see anything about one now.

Was on the website and saw the “sale” prices but wasn’t sure if that’s just how it always was where everything is supposedly “on sale” all the time

@Battlecorals has great aquacultured sticks that are healthy and chunky! Adam’s been around years and takes care of his customers.

Battlecorals, fraghouse corals, homegrown reefer are my go to for nice healthy sticks but after spending too much time on marketplace I made an order with fellow reef2reef member Camaro show to try to add another vendor to my list!

Unpopular opinion, but if you want 4 showpieces avoid having more than 1 rainbow Tenuis. To everybody besides the reef dork of the house they are unimpressive.

Nice part is single color sps are way cheaper for some reason!

Oregon tort
Hawkins Echinata
Green, blue, or purple staghorn
Pink Millies and tables
Etc

Yeah i want a good mix of colors, would like one milli and one smooth skin. Thats why Battlecorals is appealing, I think hed pick a good mix.

Are you looking for bold bright acros that stand out and contrast each other? If so 90% of those are under $100.

If you put 4 hyped corals in your tank you're going to be disappointed. The only vendor I see listed so far that's gives you value for your money is Battlecorals and most of his nicest pieces have been sold out for months/years.

A few ideas---

Millis-
Red Wing Milli
Palmers or a blue milli that has intense color
Sunset milli
Solar Flare/ ASD Rainbow

Smooth skin-
ORA Pearlberry
Skinny Love 2.0
Glow Stick
Reef Gen Blueberry fantasy

Pick what you like, not some vendors suggestions. A Red planet, Oregon tort and a sunset milli would be hard to beat. That would cost you less than a single hyped pastel tenuis.
