LFS claims this is a glass shrimp. Couldn't find anything concrete online. I found some older threads saying marine glass shrimp are actually brackish/fresh water?

Someone enlighten me please.

Hard to see clearly. I think glass shrimp are more "tiger striped" though that looks more spotted. Yes glass shrimp are brackish water breeders and typically live in fresh water they can however acclimate to full saltwater, I dont know how well they do or how long they last in full saltwater. They are a good feeder for some saltwater fish like anglers.

Thanks for the reply. Honestly i thought the shrimp in the video looks like a coral banded shrimp but smaller and more see through.

I am considering buying this shrimp. Any tips in case it was indeed a glass shrimp? What do these guys usually eat?

Spotted anemone shrimp, Periclimenes yucatanicus, or somthing similar. Thats my best guess. Ghost shrimp don't have those little claws, which this one appears to have.
Heres a better vid of the lil dude. What do you think?

.
I think that is some sort of anemone shrimp. I am not 100% sure on that. Like said above I think the front "arms" are more "developed" than the glass shrimp.
If it is a glass shrimp or isnt a glass shrimp it will eat film algaes, leftover fish food, dead stuff, shrimp are pretty open to what they will/can eat unless its a "specialist" shrimp like the Harlequin (which this is not).

Yeah that is a fair point. Thanks for the input!
