Please see attached. My clown has a spot on her chin and now won’t eat today. As she swims her rear drags and she didn’t eat today. Also, poop is white. Please advise!

I think you have a couple things going on. The white poop generally indicates an internal parasite of some type. The chin lump could be lymphocystis or a severe infection. @HotRocks @4FordFamily

That looks very bad. You should get some good advice here quickly. I assume your Clown is in your main display tank now— possibly with corals and invertebrates? Are you familiar with setting up a hospital tank? I would get one ready within the next 24 hours, as surely you will be advised to medicate.

I think it's a bacterial infection on chin. I would move to QT. Treat with Metroplex + Kanaplex + furan-2 or you could use NFG. Sulfaplex also seems to work well for infections near the mouth.

The discomfort is probably what's keeping it from eating. You will also want to feed Metroplex or GC + focus soaked food to cure the intestinal parasites if you can get the fish eating again.

Only store open tonight is petco. Do they sell any of this? @HotRocks

That is probably a stretch. Metroplex is possible. I doubt they have focus. Just call the one nearest to you. NFG is online only.

The main thing you need is a product with kanamycin and one with metronidazole.

They "might" have API General cure.

Here is what you want to ask for
API makes Furan-2 and General Cure
Seachem makes Metroplex Kanaplex and focus.

Well I might be screwed. Doesn’t look like they have any. I was going to go get all the goods to setup the QT but I don’t have any water for the tank either. Haven’t bought my RODI tool yet. She’s really struggling, went down hill quick. I feel bad even leaving her in there.

Amazon would be my suggestion. I agree with @HotRocks on treatment.

What’s best to stock? I’m going to order tonight but I’m better she doesn’t make it through the night. I’ll be ready next time. @4FordFamily

I’d keep the following on hand:

Copper power
Hanna copper checker
Kanaplex
Metroplex
Furan 2
Seachem focus (to bind meds to food
NFG
General cure
Prazi-pro
Ruby Reef Rally
Methelyn Blue

Omit last two and Prazi and NFG. NFG is the best antibiotic but it’s not necessary for most infections.

If you don’t have enough RO or RODI water in time, go to Walmart and buy distilled jugs for 89-cents a gallon. That will hold you over.
