Wow. So clean and organized. Where did you get those rocks? They look so real in the first picture. Can you describe your sump setup and what you have growing in the fuge.

this is the aqua know rocks, it really real to me too. my sump as simple as i can, just heater, skimmer, recalk , siporax and GFO n Carbon in bag .
in fuge i have chaetos only, nothing in bed, i using call "algae filter" and not fuge

Gr8 reef Leo. So fresh so clean :) Can you please tell us more about siporax using as bio filter.

As u see i´m using plastic rocks and no more sand bed, i use siporax like housing biologic filter

There must be something special in the water there! :) One of my favorite reef displays.

I do have a question. The Siporax that you are using. I have seen this stuff used on a few other reefs from your part of the world and they are all remarkable! Are you using the 25mm size? I noticed you said you are using 21 liters. May I ask the dimensions of that eggcrate enclosure in your sump that houses the Siporax? I assume you have the media neatly stacked like I have seen on other set-ups? I am considering trying Siporax in my new build (125 gallons). I just have not seen it used here in the states and it is not easy to come by here in the 25mm size.

Gary,
Siporax used to be distributed by Aquarium Products years ago. I still have some in my shop new and un-used. Schott Glass I think is the manufacturer. Seems like Marge Schott owned a MLB team years ago and was shall we say quite outspoken on certian subjects. I have to be careful of my memory at my age...lol.

What a blast from the past.

What a clean stunning tank!

Hi Fin! thanks you so much for all words.
First sorry my English, is not so good.
Siporax show me so power to synthesizing nitrate and if we make a good work it could be a problem hehe at this moment i drop my siporax and I´m using 10Liters and dosing some KNO3 to rise my nitrate to 10ppm. my basket was 17" x 9,5" x 7"but now is half of it. be careful with large number of siporax . I cant say to you how much siporax to use because a lot of things cam make a diference, like your skimmer, rocks, sand, food, number of fish and other.
I suggest you to increasing a little bit each time, and watch the results.
One time more, thank you so much and best regards to u

Leo, is background white colored?

Hello "ontheway" this is a white glass, i dont know how it is make but came white from factory .

Thank you Leo. I understood you just fine. I appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions. Your tank is certainly one to inspire others to try your methods.
