If you take care of that skimmer you will never have to buy another one. Even if you upgrade in the future. By take care of I mean don't drop it off a two story roof. Jeff does great acrylic work. I have a skimmer still in use that I purchased from in in 2000.

Minor one, yes. Not a two story roof one though Long story short I had it tucked away on a garage shelf when I down graded display sizes. I was taking it down off the shelf for a new system, reaching over a few things I shouldn't have been while on the ladder, and didn't ask for help. Lost balance while holding it. I feel off, dropped the skimmer, and that was it.

The only damage to skimmer was the PVC intake pipe elbow where it meets the main skimmer body. Shot Jeff a message, he suggested what acrylic glue to use, and that was it. I don't really do much with acrylic but after cleaning everything up it was fine. Been using it ever since.

Only reason for buying another one is because I wasn't sure when he may retire But yeah they hold up well even if the hobbyist (me in this case) make poor choices

Right? He’s still very much in business and doesn’t seem to be retiring anytime soon. Then again it’s definitely a passion of his and even in retirement do people need something to do.
