If you take care of that skimmer you will never have to buy another one. Even if you upgrade in the future. By take care of I mean don't drop it off a two story roof. Jeff does great acrylic work. I have a skimmer still in use that I purchased from in in 2000.
Im sensing a story there lol

you're going to need matching neon frag holders :winking-face:
you could also use them for cord management in the sump
Not with Hewbie’s waste production lol! Hewbie isn’t porcupine puffer whose tank this belongs to.:)

You made a great investment going with Jeff's products. I have one of his overflows and love it. Your sump looks great!

Minor one, yes. Not a two story roof one though :D Long story short I had it tucked away on a garage shelf when I down graded display sizes. I was taking it down off the shelf for a new system, reaching over a few things I shouldn't have been while on the ladder, and didn't ask for help. Lost balance while holding it. I feel off, dropped the skimmer, and that was it.

The only damage to skimmer was the PVC intake pipe elbow where it meets the main skimmer body. Shot Jeff a message, he suggested what acrylic glue to use, and that was it. I don't really do much with acrylic but after cleaning everything up it was fine. Been using it ever since.

Only reason for buying another one is because I wasn't sure when he may retire :D But yeah they hold up well even if the hobbyist (me in this case) make poor choices :D :D

Hope your day is going well.

Right? He’s still very much in business and doesn’t seem to be retiring anytime soon. Then again it’s definitely a passion of his and even in retirement do people need something to do.
