I decided a few years ago to try to have one of all the leopard wrasse species. An elusive goal. Black has proven problematic for me, choati too expensive. Then ‘new’ variants keep on appearing.

Amazing isn't the word....

Thank you for sharing and great new additions!!

Thanks for shoveling your way through the thread :). Just realized that earlier this month the tank surpassed three years. Four years is my median time for a tank ..... got to get moving on the next one.

Yeah, It'd have to be something in that range to be worth the effort. Unfortunately, a 96" length and 36" depth is about all I can fit. I'm in my current house for at lease another 5-6 years.

They depress it significantly. Doesn’t seem to affect overall coral growth rates, but SPS in the frag tank has much more PE. Trade offs suppose .....

Checking the generators .... plenty of propane for the backup, plenty of gas for the backup to the backup.

We're expecting the 'worst snow storm in years' here on the East Coast. Heavy snow and wind, which in CT (with our third world electrical grid) usually means no power.

I can send you some of our wild fires from Calif if you are so inclined...

Be safe!

Yeah, I think wherever you live there’s something to have to deal with.

I’ve been a bit distracted over the last few months with house projects and have been feeling that I’ve neglected the tank. Plus, every four years I get totally sucked into the drama that is presidential politics. Anyhow, though neglected, the tank looks as good as it ever has. Perhaps neglect also means less fiddling and fussing and more stability.

It has been a while since I posted any pics.....

Looks good. As far as politics go best piece of advice I can offer, not that you asked, is ignore it. You can't change it other than your vote. If you did that your job is done. And this holds true regardless of what party you vote for.

Side note - I see a few damsels there - what is the total count now? Also montipora - that stuff just takes over I guess, doesn't it? I have a sunset or whatever it is called orange with the yellow dots. Anyway it was starting to shade a coral below so I busted it up. I could not get all the pieces and now I'm starting to see it grow elsewhere. I also have a blood red and green one that are starting to do similar.

I'm going to leave it now. My tank will be filled with fuzzy lobo, xenia, kenya tree, a large hamnmer, frog spawn, corky finger, and the various monties :) Oh well.

Oh - also forgot to say that I hope you weathered the storm. I know you prepared for it but I lost track of it over the weekend. Not sure if it was as bad as they predicted or what. Be safe!

It was significant snow, but no power outages ..... which just means I had to stay home which, well, I’ve mostly been doing all year.

I rather see politics as entertainment frankly, and as a moderate independent there’s a lot to laugh at on both the right and the left.

I added about 60 damsels, and while I am sure they’re not all still there, they mostly are. Wish I could say the same for the Bartlett anthias. They are really good at whittling themselves down.

It’s funny that one reefers aspiration is another’s plague. Hairy mushrooms, pocilopora and montis. I’m going to have to break off some chunks to save lower, shaded corals.
