Siphoned hammer corral

Hey guys, so last night I was doing a water change and while I was siphoning I clipped my hammer. I feel really stupid as it’s my favorite coral. Do they usually recover okay or is there something i should do. I know alot of times less is more In this hobby. I’ll put a picture of what it looks like today.

They are quite tough, however keep an eye on it. Worse case is polyp damage and shrinkage of polyps.

Thanks. Yeah he definitely shrunk significantly. Do they usually open back up over time. And what defense mechanisms should i be aware of?

I've done this a few times and they've been fine. If only a few polyps got ripped off it should be fine... just watch for infection.

Yes... it should be open tomorrow if not, if you see a brown jelly like substance that's not good, however it likely won't happen.

As long as calcium level is 400 or more and flow is not aggressive, should do well
