I got my carbon reactor set up and am running the output to my pump return chamber. I just ran the hose and Didn’t put anything on the end. As you can imagine, tons of micro bubbles going into the display. I stumbled up these in my drawer which I use over my skimmer basket for my pool. So I zip tied one to the end of the carbon output hose. Works perfectly! Not only does it stop the micro bubbles but it also provides another layer of filtration. It’s surprisingly pretty dirty. Just take it out, rinse in RODI and it’s good as new.

I agree they work great. I've been running these for years instead of felt filter socks. I'd guestimate it catches 90% of debris but lets just enough micro crud through to keep the corals and macros well fed. Super easy to clean and very cheap.
